VIRGINIA
BEACH, VA, March 26, 2008 -- Jim Flinchum,
managing principal of Bay Capital Advisors in
Virginia Beach, has received The Kessler Award,
the national writing award from the Investment
Management Consultants Association for the best
financial article of 2007.
Flinchum, a Certified Financial Planner® and Investment Management Consultant Analyst®, co-wrote the article "The Evolution of Family Governance" for the November/December 2007 issue of The Monitor.
The article discusses innovative new techniques to manage large family fortunes, including private trust companies, family banks, and family councils, especially in relation to the sale of family businesses.
